Friday 12th March 2010 South-West Seminar on Climate change and water: water management and politics, at Cannington Centre for Land-based Studies, Cannington,
Bridgewater, Somerset TA5 2LS.
In view of the important UN conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen this December, Dr Roger Calow (Programme Leader of the
ODI Water Policy Programme and policy adviser at the British Geological Survey) will address the implications of the Copenhagen
meeting, and other speakers will focus on the needs of poorly resourced small-scale farmers and how their water management is
affected by climate change.
Registration with tea/coffee at 10.00 for 10.30 am. Cost including lunch is expected to be about £20. Please register in advance with

 Tube to Green Park (Piccadilly, Jubilee or Victoria lines), take the exit marked Buckingham Palace, walk past the Ritz Hotel turning right into Arlington Street. At the end of Arlington Street there are some steps, down the steps to the front entrance (approx. 5 minutes).
Buses 8, 9, 14, 19, 22 and 38 stop outside the Green Park tube station on Piccadilly, running west to Hyde Park Corner, Victoria and Knightsbridge, and east to Piccadilly Circus and Holborn.

The Aquaculture Technology Centre is located within The Institute of Aquaculture, at the rear of the Pathfoot building within the University of Stirling Campus (marked with a star on the map below). The ATC office is "K3", but assistance in locating us is available from the well-marked Institute of Aquaculture reception office (H1) which is on the right as you enter the Pathfoot building via the main rear doors. If you arrive at the front entrance of the Pathfoot building, there is a porters desk on the left where someone should be available to provide further directions.
